If your home is not extremely well insulated then it will work if your home is under 2,800 square feet. If your home is larger than these sizes, or has multiple furnaces then you may need to order more than one unit.

2. Will the Desert Spring Humidifier work on my furnace?

7. How do I shut down my humidifier at the end of the season?

The first step in shutting down your humidifier at the end of the humidification season is to shut off the water supply. This is done by closing the needle valve. The water should be drained out of the unit and the damper on the hot air duct should be closed. Once all the water has been drained it is often a good idea to clean out any minerals that may have settled in the basin or on the disc wheel. A vinegar and water solution works well for this. The final step is to turn the humidistat down to it's lowest setting which will effectively turn off the power to the humidifier.
